Detailed guidance for completing the application form
The Application form is a standardised layout which is used for all grants given by Hampshire County Council.
You will see confirmation of your application and a grant reference number upon submission.
To help you in completing the form please note the following:
- Question 1
You should enter Economy, Transport & Environment Department, Bus Service Operators Grant.
Contact details of your organisation (Questions 2-6)
Organisational name – please state the name of the organisation who will have responsibility for accounting for the grant.
- Your project/activity (Questions 7-10)
Please use this section to provide a brief description of the nature of your service e.g. delivering public bus transport to residents and visitors of Hampshire.
Please use this section to detail how you will use any grant awarded. Please see section ‘What is funded?’ above for further details.
Please tell us briefly what the new facilities/equipment will do for passengers, why you want to provide this and how this will benefit residents of and visitors to Hampshire.
Please use this section to describe how you might monitor the impact on passengers of any new equipment or facilities you would implement as a result of any grant funds.
- Finance (Questions 11 – 15)
Please use this section to provide estimated costs for the purchase and implementation of the facilities/equipment you are seeking funding for. The amount you are applying for should be sufficient to implement these facilities/equipment across your fleet or within a specified area. 3
Question 13 (only applicable for grants over £1000)
Please use this section to detail the amount of funding your organisation will provide for the implementation of the facilities/equipment you are seeking funding for. Please note that only applications which indicate a minimum of 25% matched funding will be considered.
Please specify the amount of funding you are applying for.
This question only applies for grant applications of over £1000.
- Questions 16-20

These questions only apply for grant applications of over £1000.
- Monitoring information
This information will help us to plan and fund areas of work where there are significant gaps and needs. If you need to collect this information from your staff or service users then it is important that you give them a choice as to whether they choose to give this personal information.
