Market engagement - Winchester Discovery Centre Innovation Partner

Hampshire County Council has developed a strategic business plan for Winchester Discovery Centre with the aim of creating a modern destination for creativity and learning. As part of the proposed changes to the building, the Council wants to explore the opportunity to attract an innovation partner to work with WDC and its existing partner in the building, Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT). The Council considers there is significant potential for the innovation partner's activities to be complementary to existing and planned events and activities in WDC and enable the Council to grow the offer for the benefit of visitors and the wider local economy. There is an opportunity for the partner to lease the Tower Room immediately, and other spaces may be available pending internal relocations and terms being agreed. In addition, our Performance Hall and Learning Rooms (which are currently under-utilised, particularly during the daytime) are available to hire.

Hampshire County Council seeks to engage with the market to understand the level of interest in the opportunity and supplier offerings to determine how the service could be delivered differently, building on supplier expertise to assist the development of any future procurement strategy and contract.Proposals are required no later than 3rd September 2019.
