TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – AMENDMENTS TO SPEED LIMITS IN THE BORDON AND WHITEHILL AREA

Due consideration having been given to Sections 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Hampshire County Council proposes making a traffic order as follows:

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area

EFFECT OF ORDER: will impose the following 30mph speed limits:

30mph (existing 40mph)

(i) Station Road between its junction with Farnham Road / Camp Road and its junction with Budds Lane / Oakhanger Road, an approximate distance of 996 metres.

(ii) Oakhanger Road between its junction with Station Road / Budds Lane and a point 112 metres west thereof.

30mph (by virtue of a prescribed system of street lighting) (existing 40mph)

Budds Lane between a point 532 metres north-west of its junction with Camp Road / High Street and its junction with Station Road / Oakhanger Road, an approximate distance of 351 metres.

The order also revokes and re-enacts the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the proposed 30mph limits above and minor changes to existing descriptions for clarity.

(i) Bordon Library, Forest Centre, Pinehill Road (Opening hours : Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9.30 – 5; Saturdays 9 – 1)

(ii) Council Offices, Penns Place, Petersfield (Opening hours Mondays to Fridays 9 – 5)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C824/MB by 8 November 2019. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Bordon, Whitehill, Grayshott and Liphook Area) (Restricted Road, 20, 30, 40 and 50 Miles per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2019."
