NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL proposes to make the above Order, the effects of which would be:

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Southampton City Council in Southampton area

1. To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions in the following lengths of road:

(a) Bowden Lane, south side, From 55m west of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road westwards for 20m.

(b) Osborne Road North, west side, From 40m south-east of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road southwards for 10m.

 

2. To introduce Permit Holders Only, 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday restrictions in the following lengths of road:

(a) Grosvenor Road, west side, From 10m north of the northern kerb-line of Portswood Road northwards for 36m,

(b) Portswood Road, south-east side, From 37m north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Osborne Road North north-eastwards for 22m; north-west side, From 10m south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Arnold Road south-westwards for 30m

(c) Somerset Road, west side, From 10m south of the southern kerb-line of Brickfield Road southwards for 15m.

 

3. To introduce Parking Places with 2 Hour limit (No Return Same Day) 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday Except Permit Holders restrictions in the following lengths of road:

(a) Arnold Road, east side, From 10m south of the south-western kerb-line of Bowden Lane southwards for 190m; west, From 10m south of the south-western kerb-line of Bowden lane southwards for 205m.

(b) Belmont Road, west side, From 61m south of the southern kerb-line of Portswood Road southwards for 122m, From 51m south of the southern kerb-line of St Denys Road southwards for 30m, From 122m south of the southern kerb-line of St Denys Road southwards for 33m, From 177m south of the southern kerb-line on St Denys Road southwards for 156m; east side, From 63m south of the southern kerb-line of Portswood Road southwards for 122m, From 49m south of the southern kerb-line of St Denys Road southwards for 250m.

(c) Bowden Lane, north side, From 10m west of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road westwards for 43m, From 10m west of the western kerb-line of Northcote Road westwards for 45m; south side, From 10m west of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road westwards for 45m, From 76m west of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road westwards for 35m.

(d) Brickfield Road, north side, From 48m north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Portswood Road north-westwards for 137m; south side, From the closed end of Brickfield Road south-eastwards for 22m, From 10m south-east of the western kerb-line of Somerset Road south-eastwards for 41m, From 10m south-east of the eastern kerb-line of Northcote Road south-eastwards for 18m; western closed end, For its entire length.

(e) Northcote Road, both sides, From 10m south of the southern kerb-line of Brickfield Road southwards for 157m.

(f) Osborne Gardens, all sides, For its entire length.

(g) Osborne Road North, east side, From its junction with Osborne Gardens southwards for 201m; west side, From 50m south of the western kerb-line of Portswood Road southwards for 193m.

(h) Somerset Road, east side, From 87m south of the southern kerb-line of Brickfield Road southwards for 69m; west side, From 92m south of the southern kerb-line of Brickfield Road southwards for 61m.

(i) Welbeck Avenue, south-west side, From 17.5m north-west of the western kerb-line Arnold Road north-westwards for 47m, From 13m east of the eastern kerb-line of Grosvenor Road eastwards for 18m; north-east side, From 10m north-west of the western kerb-line of Somerset Road north-westwards for 83.5m.

 

4. To introduce Parking Places with 4 Hour Limit (No Return Same Day) 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday restrictions in the following lengths of road:

(a) Somerset Road, east side, From 10m south of the southern kerb-line of Brickfield Road southwards for 58m.

 

Copies of the draft Order, relevant map and statement of reasons for proposing may be inspected during normal working hours at Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LY. Further information may also be obtained from the Highways division on 023 8079 8064.

Any person wishing to object to the Order must write to the Highways Legal Team at Southampton City Council, Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LY or email Traffic.Orders.Legal@southampton.gov.uk quoting the Order Title you are objecting to and stating the grounds for objection, within 21 days of the date of this Notice (i.e. by 7th February 2020).
