ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

HIGH STREET, MARKET STREET AND LEIGH ROAD EASTLEIGH

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER 2020 (VARIATION NO 1)

By arrangements made with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a temporary Traffic Regulation Order pursuant to the legislation above (as amended) as the Council is satisfied that it is necessary to provide additional disabled persons parking places as detailed below in order to facilitate access to local businesses for disabled persons in relation to the Coronavirus outbreak

Effect of Order:

To introduce a Parking place, stay limited to 15 minutes, no return within 2 hours, Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm, in place of temporary Disabled Persons' Parking Places bays on Leigh Road

To introduce Disabled Persons' Parking Places (maximum stay 3 hours Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm) in place of temporary Disabled Persons' Parking Places bays (with no time limit) on Leigh Road

No exemptions will apply to this Order

Reason for Order:

To provide short stay parking to allow for brief visits to local businesses and to facilitate access to local businesses for disabled persons in relation to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Period of Order:

Friday 7 August 2020 to Wednesday 21 April 2021, (or until such time that social distancing measures are no longer considered necessary, whichever is the sooner).
