On 29 July 2020, Hampshire County Council having given due consideration to S.122(1) and S.122(2) of the RTRA 1984 made a traffic order as follows:
EFFECT OF ORDER: will be to extend the existing 50 mph on A340 Ringway West to the north and south of its junctions with Thornycroft Roundabout / A3010 / B3400 Churchill Way.
A340 Ringway West between a point 88 metres north of its roundabout junction (Thornycroft Roundabout) with A3010 Churchill Way West / B3400 Churchill Way West and a point 436 metres north of that point on both the northbound and southbound carriageways.
A340 Ringway West Exit-Slip between its junction with A340 Ringway West (northbound) and a point 226 metres north-west of that point at the existing 30 mph terminal, leading to Brunel Road.
A340 Ringway West On-Slip between a point 20 metres south-west of its junction with U322 Brunel Road and a point 330 metres south thereof at its junction with A340 Ringway West (north of Thornycroft Roundabout).
A340 Ringway West between a point 170 metres south of its roundabout junction with Thornycroft Roundabout / A3010 Churchill Way and a point 84 metres south of that point.
The order will also revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the addition of the restrictions described above.
DATE OF OPERATION:The order will come into operation on 08 August 2020.
