EFFECT OF ORDER:will be to impose a 40mph speed limit (existing de-restricted) on that length of C358 Bournemouth Road between a point 295 metres south-west of its roundabout junction (formally known as the Carrefour roundabout) which links Templars Way, Chestnut Avenue and the access road to the hypermarket and a point 300 metres south-west of that point.

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Eastleigh area

THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, CHANDLERS FORD) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2020

On 14 October 2020, Hampshire County Council made a traffic order as follows:

EFFECT OF ORDER:will be to impose a 40mph speed limit (existing de-restricted) on that length of C358 Bournemouth Road between a point 295 metres south-west of its roundabout junction (formally known as the Carrefour roundabout) which links Templars Way, Chestnut Avenue and the access road to the hypermarket and a point 300 metres south-west of that point.

The order will revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the addition described above and minor amendments to descriptions for the purposes of clarity.

Consideration has been given to Sections 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 prior to the making of this order.

DATE OF OPERATION:The order will come into operation on 26 October 2020.

FURTHER DETAILS:  Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, some of the buildings at which the documents relating to the sealing and implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders could normally be viewed are closed.  As a result, the following alternative arrangements have been made:
