Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eastleigh Borough Council pursuant to arrangements with Hampshire County Council has made the above mentioned Traffic Regulation Order in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2, 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order will be to:

1. Delete "Waiting limited to 2 hours 30 minutes, return prohibited within 3 hours, Mon-Sat 8am – 6pm" in the following road: Coronation Parade south-west side from a point 3 metres north-westwards for 11 metres; from a point 6 metres south-east of its junction with Kings Avenue south-eastwards for 32 metres; north-east side from a point 4 metres north-west of its junction with Coach Road and 10 metres south-east of its junction with Kings Avenue

2. Delete "Parking places for disabled persons" in the following road: Coronation Parade south-west side from a point 14 metres north-west of its junction with Coach Road in a north-westerly direction to a point 38 metres south-east of its junction with Kings Avenue

3. Introduce "No waiting at any time' restrictions in the following roads: Coronation Parade south-west side from its junction with Coach Road north-westwards for 9 metres and from its junction with Kings Avenue south-eastwards for 9 metres, north-east side from its junction with Coach Road north-westwards for 6 metres and from its junction with Kings Avenue south-eastwards for 9 metres, Deanfield Close south-east side from its junction with Hamble Lane for 41 metres northwards; Queens View (spur leading to Nos 2 & 4), north side from its western closed end eastwards for 7 metres, western closed end for its entire length, south side from its western closed end eastwards for 4 metres

4. Introduce "No waiting on verges at any time" restrictions in the following roads: Grange Road Service Road south-east side from its junction with St Edwards Road to its junction with the unnamed road serving No 2 St Edwards Road and No 58 Grange Road; Priory Road south-east side from its junction with Wykeham Road to a point 15 metres south-west of Castle Road, from a point 15 metres north of Castle Road to a point 12 metres south-west of the south-western junction of the access road to Nos 6-24 Priory Road, from a point 12 metres north-east of the north-easterly junction of the access road to Nos 6-24 Priory Road to a point 19 metres south-west of Westwood Road; north-west side from its junction with Wykeham Road to a point 15 metres south-west of St Edwards Road, from a point 15 metres north-east of St Edwards Road to a point 2 metres north-east of the boundary between Nos 3 and 5; Priory Road Access Road to Nos 6-24 Priory Road North-east, East, South-east, South and South-west sides from a point 9 metres south-east of the north-easterly junction with Priory Road to a point 9 metres north-west of the south-western junction with Priory Road; St Edwards Road south-west side from its junction with Grange Road to its junction with Grange Court, north-east side from its junction with Grange Road to the unnamed road serving No 2 St Edwards Road and No 58 Grange Road, Unnamed road serving No 2 St Edwards Road and No 58 Grange Road west side from its junction with St Edwards Road to its junction with Grange Road Service Road

5. Introduce "waiting limited to 2 hours 30 minutes, return prohibited within 3 hours, Mon-Sat 8am - 6pm" restrictions in the following road: Coronation Parade south-west side from a point 9 metres north-west of its junction with Coach Road north-westwards for 28 metres, north-east side from a point 6 metres north-west of its junction with Coach Road north-westwards for 36 metres

6 Introduce "Parking places for Disabled Persons" in the following road: Coronation Parade south-west side from a point 9 metres south-east of Kings Avenue south-eastwards for 6.6 metres, north-east side from a point 9 metres south-east of Kings Avenue south-eastwards for 7 metres

The Order will come into operation on 7 November 2020. A copy of the Order may be inspected at my office at the Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website: www.eastleigh.gov.uk/TRO

Any persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 2 November 2020 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
