THE GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECT OF THE ORDER: will be to enable the Council to carry out enforcement of the parking arrangements (previously carried out by Winchester City Council) in Durngate off-street car park situated to the west of Durngate bridge, the hours of operation and fees are as specified in the schedules listed in the attachment:

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS: PARKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR DURNGATE OFF-STREET CAR PARK

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 33 and 35(1) and 47 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") as amended by the Traffic Management Act 2004 ("the 2004 Act") and the Road Traffic Regulation (Parking) Act 1986, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

THE GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECT OF THE ORDER: will be to enable the Council to carry out enforcement of the parking arrangements (previously carried out by Winchester City Council) in Durngate off-street car park situated to the west of Durngate bridge, the hours of operation and fees are as specified in the schedules below:

Monday to Saturday (inclusive)  08:00 – 18:00

 

Schedule II

Level of charges -  Monday to Saturday 08:00 – 18:00

Up to 1 hr – 80p

Up to 2hrs –£1.50

Up to 3hrs - £2.20

Up to 4hrs - £2.90

Over 4hrs - £7.30

Sundays and Bank Holidays - no charge

Some of the buildings previously closed during the Coronavirus Pandemic at which the documents relating to these matters could normally be viewed have re-opened with reduced hours as follows:

ALL OBJECTIONS / OTHER REPRESENTATIONS in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or emailed to public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference - A1053/MB, by 18 December 2020. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Durngate Car Park, Winchester) (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2021."
