GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF ORDER: will be to reverse the existing one-way traffic flow  running  from north-east to south-west in the southern section of Meeting House Lane so as to run from south-west to north-east, between its junction with C179 Market Place / High Street and its junction with Western Service Road / Northumberland Court.

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area

THE HAMPSHIRE (MEETING HOUSE LANE) (RINGWOOD) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on 13 January 2021 in exercise of its powers and duties under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF ORDER: will be to reverse the existing one-way traffic flow running from north-east to south-west in the southern section of Meeting House Lane so as to run from south-west to north-east, between its junction with C179 Market Place / High Street and its junction with Western Service Road / Northumberland Court.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into operation on 25 January 2021.

FURTHER DETAILS: Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the buildings at which the documents relating to the sealing and implementation of Traffic Regulation Orders could normally be viewed may be closed or open on a restricted basis. As a result, the following alternative arrangements have been made:

(a) The Notice of Making and the Order as made may be inspected online at: https://www.hants.gov.uk/community/publicnotices/?typeid=5 . Background documents relating to this are available to view online at the above address until 24 February 2021.

(b) Copies of the Notice of Making and the Order as made can also be obtained by e-mailing public.notices@hants.gov.uk or by writing to Traffic Orders Team, Safer Roads and Parking, Economy, Transport and Environment, 2nd Floor, Elizabeth II Court West, The Castle, Winchester SO23 8UD quoting reference: A1056

(c) Libraries may be opening on a restricted basis. Ringwood Library, Christchurch Road is opening Tuesday and Thursday 10-4 and Saturday 10-1 at the time of writing.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person who desires to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of those Sections or of Parts I, II, or III of Schedule 9 to the Act or any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 have not been complied with in relation to the order may, by 24 February 2021 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
