THE HAMPSHIRE (A325, BUCKS HORN OAK / HOLT POUND (30, 40 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on 15 March 2021, in exercise of its powers and duties under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act)], Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will impose 30 and 40mph speed limits in the roads and lengths of road in the Bucks Horn Oak / Holt Pound Area as follows:
(i) C84 Binsted Road (existing de-restricted) between a point 25 metres west of its junction with the A325 and a point 115 metres west of its junction with U229 Back Lane, an approximate distance of 172 metres.
(ii) U229 Back Lane between its junction with C84 Binsted Road and its junction with Binsted Bridleway 41 (i.e. its entire length), an approximate distance of 400 metres.
(iii) U229 The Glade between its junction with the U229 Back Lane and its south-western point of termination (i.e. its entire length), an approximate distance of 133 metres.
40mph (existing 50mph)
(i) A325 between a point 57 metres north of its junction with Binsted Bridleway 41 and a point 162 metres south of its junction with the C84 Binsted Road, an approximate distance of 595 metres.
(ii) C84 Binsted Road between its junction with the A325 and a point 25 metres west thereof.
(iii) C84 Dockenfield Road between its junction with the A325 and a point 50 metres south-east thereof.
The order will also revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the addition / amendments specified above.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into operation on 29 March 2021.
