Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eastleigh Borough Council pursuant to arrangements with Hampshire County Council has made the above mentioned Traffic Regulation Order in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2, 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order will be to:

1. Introduce "No waiting at any time" restrictions in the following roads: Bishops Court both sides from Church Rd south-eastwards for 10 metres, Bow Lake Gardens south side from Church Rd north-westwards for 10 metres, Breach Lane north side from Church Road westwards for 10 metres, south side from Church Road to Burrow Hill Place; Church Road south-east side from 10 metres north-east to 10 metres south-west of Bishops Court, from 10 metres north-east to 10 metres south-west of Dartington Road, east side from 20 metres north to 10 metres south of Longmead Avenue, north-west side from 10 metres north-east to 10 metres southwest of Rose Close, from Bow Lake Gardens south-westwards for 10 metres; Dartington Road both sides from Church Road eastwards for 10 metres; Edward Avenue south side from 10 metres east to 9 metres west of White Road; Longmead Avenue north-west side from Church Road north-eastwards for 10 metres, south-east side, from Church Road north-eastwards for 7 metres, north side from 10 metres east to 10 metres west of White Road; Nelson Road both sides from Stoke Park Road northwards for 10 metres; Sandy Lane east side from 10 metres south of Winifred Close northwards to 10 metres north of Inglewood Gardens; Sedgwick Road west side from the boundary of Nos 19/21to the boundary of Nos 23/25, both sides from Stoke Park Road southwards for 15 metres; Stoke Park Road south side from the boundary of Nos 39/41 to 10 metres east of Nelson Road, north side from 10 metres east to 14 metres west of Nelson Road; White Road west side for its entire length, east side from Longmead Avenue northwards for 10 metres, from Edward Avenue southwards for 10 metres; Winifred Close both sides from Sandy Lane eastwards for 10 metres

2. Introduce "Parking for 2 hours, no return within 2 hours Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm" restriction in the following road: Fair Oak Road south side from the eastern kerbline of Summerlands Road westwards for 6 metres

3. Introduce a maximum of six Disabled persons parking places in the following roads: Avington Close, Church Road, Cotton Close, East Drive, Escombe Road, Fair Oak Road, Fox Close, Hamilton Road, Lynx Close, Riverside, St Margarets Road, Shears Road, Stag Close, Truro Rise, Underwood Road, Scotland Close, Scotter Road, Spring Lane, Victena Road, West Drive

4. Introduce "No waiting on footway" restriction in the following roads: Church Road north-west side from a point 16 metres north-east of its junction with Rose Close north-eastwards for 38 metres

The proposed "No waiting Monday to Saturday 8:00am-6:00pm" restrictions in Church Road have been abandoned.

The Order will come into operation on 19 April 2021. A copy of the Order may be inspected at my office at the Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website: www.eastleigh.gov.uk/TRO

Any persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 14 April 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
