LAKESIDE SCHOOL, EASTLEIGH – INCREASE OF AGREED PUPIL NUMBER AND CHANGE OF AGE RANGE

1. Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006, that Hampshire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to LAKESIDE SCHOOL, EASTLEIGH, Winchester Road, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh, SO53 2DW (category of school – special) by increasing the capacity of the school and changing the age range with effect from 1 September 2021.

2. The current agreed pupil number (APN) for Lakeside School, Eastleigh is 92 pupils aged 11-16 year olds with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). It is proposed to increase the APN of the school by adding 5 places. This will give an updated APN for the school of 97 pupils from 1 January 2021. In addition, it is proposed that the age range for the school is lowered to enable children aged 10 years old to attend. This change brings the age range to 10-16 years old. Existing teaching spaces can accommodate these additional pupil numbers hence there are no capital costs.
