Notice is hereby given that Hart District Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

Effect of Order:

  • To prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along those parts of the following roads, as indicated by traffic signs.

The restrictions are necessary on safety grounds to allow for major improvement works to the A287 Farnham Road/Redfields Lane junction by Martin Grant Homes.

Roads To be closed:

  1. REDFIELDS LANE, Church Crookham – at its junction with A287 Farnham Road  (Diversion via A287, Beacon Hill Road, Aldershot Road, Redfields Lane & vice versa)
  2. BOWLING ALLEY, Crondall – at its junction with A287 Farnham Road  (Diversion west along A287, south along Bowling Alley & vice versa)

Duration of Order:

From 2nd August 2021 for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required until 30th September 2022).
