Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Council of the Borough of Eastleigh (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") pursuant to arrangements made with the Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby proposes to make the above Order, the effects of which would be to:

Introduce Parking Places for Disabled Persons, to be implemented as required in the following roads, up to a maximum of six Parking Places:

1. Newtown Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 1): Archers Road, Bellevue Road, George Street, Laburnum Grove, Mill Street, Mount View, Newtown Road, Northlands Road, Salisbury Close, The Crescent, Toynbee Close, Toynbee Road, Weston Road, Yonge Close;

2. Factory Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 2): Blenheim Road Chamberlayne Road (from Leigh Road to Grantham Road), Cranbury Road (from Leigh Road to Grantham Road), Desborough Road (from Leigh Road to Blenheim Road), Factory Road, Grantham Road (from Wilmer Road to Cranbury Road), Nutbeem Road (from Leigh Road to Grantham Road), Wilmer Road;

3. Derby Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 3): Chamberlayne Road (from Grantham Road to Cherbourg Road), Derby Road (from Nutbeem Road to Southampton Road), Desborough Road (from Blenheim Road to Cherbourg Road), Grantham Road (from Cranbury Road to Southampton Road), High Street (from Blenheim Road to Cherbourg Road), Market Street (from its southern closed end to its northern closed end, Nutbeem Road (from Grantham Road to Derby Road);

4. Arnold Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 4): Arnold Road, Cherbourg Road (from Southampton Road to Chamberlayne Road), Cheriton Road, Chestnut Avenue (from Southampton Road to Cranbury Road), Cranbury Road (from Chestnut Avenue to Cherbourg Road), Desborough Road (from Chestnut Avenue to Cherbourg Road), Doncaster Road, High Street (from Chestnut Avenue to Cherbourg Road), Mansbridge Road, Ovington Road, Southampton Road, Tichborne Road, York Road

5. Dutton Lane and Barton Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 5): Barton Road, Dutton Lane;

6. Campbell Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 6): Campbell Road, Unnamed cul-de-sac adjacent to Nos 36 and 75 Campbell Road, Unnamed cul-de-sac adjacent to Nos 96 and 135 Campbell Road, Access Road rear of Nos 1 – 175 Campbell Road including two link roads, Access Road rear of Nos 2 – 132 Campbell Road including two link roads;

7. Brookwood Avenue area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 7): Access Road to the rear of 60 to 92 Leigh Road, Brookwood Avenue, Causton Gardens, Loveridge Way

8. Goldsmith Road and O'Connell Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 8): Chadwick Road, Cherbourg Road (from Tennyson Road to Chamberlayne Road), Coniston Road, Derby Road (from Elm Grove to Nutbeem Road), Elm Grove, Goldsmith Road, Grantham Road (from Derby Road to Wilmer Road), Grasmere, Greenwood Close, Hardy Road, Jubilee Close, Kelvin Road, O'Connell Road, Owen Road, Parnell Road, Scott Road, Shelley Road, Spencer Road, Tennyson Road, Thirlmere, Ullswater, Access Road to the rear of No.1 to No.16 Jubilee Close, Access Road to the rear of No.1 to No.24 Greenwood Close and No.41 Tennyson Road

9. Monks Way and Locksley Road area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 9): Abbotts Road, Burns Close, Burns Road, Cedar Road, Chestnut Avenue, Friars Road, Maple Square, Monks Brook Close, Monks Way, Passfield Avenue, Priory Road

10. North End Copse area Permit Parking Zone (Zone 11): Cambridge Drive, Cambridge Green, Essex Green, Falkland Road ,Suffolk Close, Suffolk Close (spur), Suffolk Drive ,Suffolk Green

A copy of the Order and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website: www.eastleigh.gov.uk/TRO.

Objections to these proposals together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent in writing or via the form on the Council's website to the undersigned by 20 August 2021. Letters of support will also be accepted during this time.
