TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSAL – PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND DRIVING BURNETTS LANE, HORTON HEATH, EASTLEIGH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
EFFECTS OF ORDER:
Prohibition of Waiting:
The order will introduce no waiting at any time in the vicinity of the existing junction of Burnetts Lane with the existing access road to Chalcroft Business Park as described below:
Roads Side Length
The two turning areas of the superseded lengths of Burnetts Lane (U520) and the existing access road into Chalcroft Business Park
Between a point 9 metres north-east of the centreline of the driveway of the property currently known as "Fallow Hill House" and a point 17 metres south-west of the centreline of the junction of Burnetts Lane with the existing access road into Chalcroft Business Park, an approximate distance of 89 metres.
Prohibition of Driving:
The order will prohibit driving north-west on the existing access road leading to Chalcroft Business Park and north-east of the existing junction with Burnetts Lane as described below:
Roads Side Length
Superseded length of Burnetts Lane (U520)
Between a point 20 metres north-east of its junction with the centreline of the existing access road into Chalcroft Business Park and a point approximately 170 metres north-east of that point (i.e. where it joins the new roundabout layout.
Superseded length of unnamed Access Road to Chalcroft Business Park
Between a point 21 metres north-east of its existing junction with Burnetts Lane (U520) and a point varying between 50 and 55 metres north-west of that point (i.e. where it joins the newly constructed road layout into Chalcroft Business Park).
An exemption will be in place for cyclists at these two points.

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference: - A1041/MJB by 15th October 2021. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.
TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Burnetts Lane, Horton Heath) (Prohibition of Waiting and Driving) Order 2021."
