TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BASINGTOKE TO STRATFIELD SAYE) (30, 40 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2022

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to introduce a 40 miles per hour speed limit on A33 Basingstoke – Reading Road at the stretch of road 117 metres south of the entrance leading to Redlands Lodge and a point 269 metres north-east its junction with U225 Wildmoor Lane, an approximate distance of 1474 metres. This will replace part of the current 50 miles per hour speed limit currently in force on A33 Basingstoke – Reading Road; the rest shall remain at 50 miles per hour.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BASINGTOKE TO STRATFIELD SAYE) (30, 40 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on 19th April 2022, in exercise of its powers and duties under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on 2nd May 2022.
