The Borough of Eastleigh (Hedge End, West End and Botley) (Amendment No 14) Order 2022

Permanent Traffic Order

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Eastleigh Borough Council pursuant to arrangements with Hampshire County Council has made the above mentioned Order in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police.
EFFECT OF ORDER: Will make permanent The Borough of Eastleigh (Hedge End, West End and Botley) (Amendment No 14) Experimental Order 2021 which introduced "no waiting at any time" restrictions in Maunsell Way, from a point 15.5 metres south of its junction with Drummond Road to its junction with Giles Close. The intention behind the Order was to establish whether introducing the restriction improved the free flow of traffic on Maunsell Way and whether, once the impact of the restrictions had been assessed, the Order should be made permanent.
The Order will come into operation on 8 August 2022. A copy of the Order may be inspected at my office at the Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website:
Any persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 29 July 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
