Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

BOROUGH OF EASTLEIGH
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14.1
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF STONEHAM LANE, EASTLEIGH
By arrangements made under section 19 of the Local Government Act 2000 with Hampshire County Council, notice is hereby given that Eastleigh Borough Council proposes to make a temporary closure order pursuant to the legislation above as the Council is satisfied that traffic (and/or pedestrians) on the road(s) below should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed on or near the road, the effect of which is detailed below.

Road to be closed

Old Stoneham Lane from the entrance to St. Nicolas Church to Stoneham Lane Football Complex Car Park.

Period of Closure

Friday 7 October 2022, 00:01 for a period of 2 months or when the works are completed, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding, it is expected that the road closure will only be in force for one or two nights from 22:00 until 06:00 within the two-month period depending on weather and availability.

Diversion route

Via A27, Stoneham Way, Stoneham Lane, Highwood Avenue and vice versa

Reason for Closure:

Double Yellow Lining.
