Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Eastleigh Borough Council in Eastleigh area

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Council of the Borough of Eastleigh (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") pursuant to arrangements made with the Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act") and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby has made the above Order.

The effect of the Order will be to:

1. Introduce "No waiting at any time" restrictions in the following roads: Bishops Court both sides from Church Road for 31 metres south-east; Camelia Grove west side from Mortimers Lane for a distance of 35 metres north, east side from Mortimers Lane for a distance of 12 metres north; Camelia Grove east side from Fernside Way south for 8 metres, Mortimers Lane north side from 6 metres west to 5 metres east of Camelia Grove; Fernside Way south side from Camelia Grove east for 5 metres; Fernside Way south side from Camelia Grove west for 6 metres; Longmead Avenue north side 6 metres west of Edward Avenue; Edward Avenue west Side from Longmead Avenue for 10 metres north; Church Road north-west side from the eastern boundary of property No 77 for 26 metres north-east, north side from Rose Close for a distance of 43 metres, south side from 2.6 metres south-west of the boundary between property No's 140 and 142 north-east for 26 metres; Shorts Road north side from Sandy Lane eastwards for 122 metres, south side from Sandy Lane eastwards for 41 metres, east side from its junction with Fair Oak Road north for 20 metres; Shorts Road north side from the east boundary of property No 45 north-west for 96 metres, west side from Fair Oak Road north for 76 metres; Sandy Lane east side from 7 metres north to 9 metres south of Shorts Road; Fair Oak Road north side from 10 metres south-west to 7 metres north-east of Shorts Road; Stoke Park Road both sides from the entrance to Stoke Park Woods car park west for 12 metres, south side from 1.6 metres west to 4 metres east of the boundary between property No's 62 and 64 Stoke Park Road, north side from 15 metres west to 14 metres east of Rogers Road; Rogers Road both sides from Stoke Park Road north for 14 metres; Witt Road north side from the boundary between property No's 49 and 51 west for 37 metres, south side from 5 metres east to the eastern property boundary of property No 84 Witt Road; Malmesbury Close east side from Witt Road north-east for 6 metres.

2. Introduce Disabled Persons Parking Places in the following road: Summerlands Road east side either side of the pedestrian buildout in front of property No's 35 and 37.

The Order will come into operation on 1 December 2022 . A copy of the Order may be inspected at my office at the Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh during normal office hours or on the Council's website:

Any persons wishing to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 11 November 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
