Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – AMENDMENTS TO PARKING, WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AT WHITEHILL AND BORDON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council ("the Council") proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THIS ORDER : Will be to implement parking and waiting restrictions as specified below:

1. Parking Place, Monday to Saturday, 9.00am to 6.00pm, (1 hour no return within 30 minutes)

Chalet Hill, south side – between a point 27 metres east of its junction with Arrival Square (formerly High Street) and a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Somerset Avenue, an approximate distance of 42 metres.

2. No Waiting at Any Time

(i) Budds Lane, both sides – between its junction with Camp Road / Arrival Square (formerly High Street) and a point 33 metres west thereof.

(ii) Camp Road, west side – between its junction with Arrival Square (formerly High Street) / Budds Lane and a point 30 metres north thereof.

(iii) Camp Road, east side – between its junction with Arrival Square (formerly High Street) / Budds Lane and a point 34 metres north thereof.

(iv) Chalet Hill. north side – between its junction with Arrival Square (formerly High Street) and its junction with Ashmead, an approximate distance of 55 metres.

(v) Chalet Hill. south side – between its junction with Arrival Square (formerly High Street) and a point 27 metres east thereof.

(vi) Arrival Square (formerly High Street) / High Street, west side – between its junction with Budds Lane and its junction with Woolmer Way, an approximate distance of 420 metres.

(vii) Arrival Square (formerly High Street), east side – between its junction with Budds Lane and a point 70 metres south thereof.

(viii) Arrival Square (formerly High Street) / High Street, east side – between a point 93 metres south of its junction with Budds Lane and a point 75 metres south of its junction with Chalet Hill, an approximate distance of 190 metres.

3. Goods Vehicle Loading Bay

Arrival Square (formerly High Street), east side – between a point 70 metres south of its junction with Budds Lane and a point 23 metres south of that point.

This order will also part-revoke two existing orders to the extent specified in this order.

All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, Whitehill and Bordon) (Parking Place, Loading Bay and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2023"
