Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of St Peter Street between its junction with St Georges Street for a distance of approx. 30m north from that junction.
ROAD TO HAVE NO ENTRY SUSPENDED: The following road with No-Entry will be temporarily suspended – St Peter Street at its junction with B3330 North Walls to allow traffic to flow into the road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3331, B3040, B3330,
DURATION OF ORDER: from 18th March 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 09:30-15:30).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out underground cabling works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: [email protected]
Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
