Election of County Councillor for the Electoral Division listed below

Division: Fareham Sarisbury

Number of Councillors to be elected: One

1.   Nomination papers for the County Election can be obtained from the Deputy Returning Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area, prepare a nomination paper for signature.
2.   Nomination papers must be delivered in person by appointment only to the Deputy Returning Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ on any day after the date of this notice from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday 5 April 2024. Appointments can be arranged by email to [email protected] or by telephone on 01329 824588.
3.   If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.
4.   Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ by midnight on Tuesday 16 April 2024. Applications can be made online https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
5.   New applications for postal votes, or amendments or cancellations of existing postal and proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ by 5pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024. You may apply online or download a form at  https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote or contact the Electoral Registration office direct.
6.   Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024. Applications can be made online www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-to-vote
7.   New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024. You can find information and, dependent your proxy type, apply online at https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/voting-by-proxy
8.   Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ by 5pm on Thursday 2 May 2024.
