TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – AMENDMENTS TO PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN ROWLANDS CASTLE
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
 
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to reduce parking congestion and to improve safety by implementing parking and waiting restrictions on various roads at Rowlands Castle as specified below:
 
Parking Places – 4 Hours, No Return Within 2 Hours
 
1. The Green – South Side:
(i) between a point 49 metres northeast of the centre line of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 29 metres northeast thereof
(ii) between a point 98 metres northeast of the centre line of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 26 metres northeast thereof
(iii) between a point 145 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 6 metres northeast thereof
 
No Waiting at Any Time
 
1. Woodberry Lane (east fork) – West Side:
Between its junction with Finchdean Road and a point 9.7 metres south thereof
2. Woodberry Lane (east fork) – East Side:
Between its junction with Finchdean Road and its junction with Woodberry Lane a distance of approximately 21 metres
3. Woodberry Lane (west fork) – Southwest Side
Between the junction of The Green and a point 110 metres southeast thereof
4. Woodberry Lane (west fork) – Northeast Side
Between its junction with Woodberry Lane and a point 82 metres south thereof
5. Bowes Hill – West Side
Between its junction with The Green and a point 97 metres north thereof
6. Bowes Hill – East Side
Between a point 7 metres north of its junction with the entrance to the railway car park and a point 26 metres south thereof
7. The Green South Side
(i) between a point at the centreline of Deerleap Lane and a point 49 metres northeast of that point
(ii) between a point 78 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 19 metres northeast of that point
(iii) between a point 123 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 21 metres northeast of that point
(iv) between a point 150 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 17 metres northeast of that point
 
This order will revoke The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading / Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012 insofar as it relates to Schedule 2: No waiting at any time, Bowes Hill / Woodberry Lane.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email [email protected] quoting reference: - A2051/DL, by Friday 10th May 2024.  All objections must state the grounds on which they are made.  Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
 
TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading / Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012 (Variation No. 24) Order 2024”.
