Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Minchens Lane between its junction with Olivers Lane and a point approximately 300 Metres North-West of said junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bramley Road, Church Lane, Clappers Farm Road, Pitfield Lane, Park Lane, Mortimer Lane, Stratfield Saye Road, Olivers Lane
DURATION OF ORDER: from 7th June 2024 for a period of 18 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 days, working between the hours 19:00 – 07:00).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Network Rail to carry out resurfacing works to tie in new junction under section 278. Network Rail will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
