The following road may be temporarily closed at some time during the next 6 months.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
· that part of St Mary Street between its junction with Stuart Crescent for the full length of the road.
· that part of Cromwell Road between its junction with The Valley and its junction with Stanmore Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Stuart Crescent, Kings Avenue, Stanmore Lane.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 10th June 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 11 weeks, working between the hours 07:30-16:30 and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for I&G Contractors Ltd to carry out gas main replacement work. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
I&G Contractors Ltd will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
