THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, HORNDEAN, FINCHDEAN AND ROWLANDS CASTLE) (RESTRICTED ROAD, 30 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to extend the existing 30 miles per hour speed limit by 70 metres - between a point 108 metres east of its junction with Idsworth Close and a point 70 metres east of that point and will reduce the corresponding length of existing 40mph. This order will revoke and re-enact the provisions contained in The Hampshire (Various Roads, Horndean, Finchdean and Rowlands Castle) (Restricted Road and 30 and 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2014 save for the changes specified above. This order will revoke and re-instate ‘The Hampshire (Various Roads, Horndean, Finchdean and Rowlands Castle) (Restricted Road and 30 and 40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2014 with no change of substance. However, these restricted roads contained within schedule I will remain by virtue of section 82(1)(a) of the Act, 30 miles per hour with no requirement for an Order.

Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area

THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, HORNDEAN, FINCHDEAN AND ROWLANDS CASTLE) (RESTRICTED ROAD, 30 AND 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024.

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order(s) on  Tuesday 4th June 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 82, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
