THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, WINCHESTER) (PARKING PLACES AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (CONTROLLED ZONE) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2010 (VARIATION NO. 75) ORDER 2024
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to: (i) remove the items specified in Schedule I from the schedules of the Principal Order as specified below; (ii) insert the items specified in Schedule II into the schedules of the Principal Order as specified below; (iii) insert the items specified in Schedule VI as the new Schedule 1 Pt XLVI of the Principal Order – Electric vehicle charging bay only (at any time); and (iv) insert a new article 1.7.1 into the Principal Order: “electric vehicle” means a motor vehicle partly or wholly propelled by electricity which requires recharging via connection to an external electricity supply. Schedule 1 Pt II: Permit holders only 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Saturday Schedule I Pt XXXVIV: 2 hrs limited waiting with no return within 4 hours 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday with permit holders exemption Schedule 2: No waiting at any time Schedule 4: No waiting at any time and no loading 7.30am to 9.30am and 4.30pm to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday Schedule V: No waiting 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday In this order, the Principal Order means The Hampshire (Various Roads, Winchester) (Parking Places and Restriction of Waiting) (Controlled Zone) (Consolidation) Order 2010.

The Hampshire (VARIOUS ROADS, WINCHESTER) (Parking Places and RESTRICTION OF Waiting) (controlled zone) (consolidation) Order 2010 (Variation No. 75) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 11th June 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53 and 122 (1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

In this order, the Principal Order means The Hampshire (Various Roads, Winchester) (Parking Places and Restriction of Waiting) (Controlled Zone) (Consolidation) Order 2010.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Friday 28th June 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 23rd July 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
