Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of B3078 Provost Street between its junction with B3078 High Street and its junction with B3078 Church Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3078, West Street, Shaftsbury Street.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 28th June 2024 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 7 days and in place 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South West Water to carry out repairs to burst stop tap.
South West Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
