THE HAMPSHIRE (FAREHAM) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (VARIATION NO. 3) ORDER 2024

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to: (i) Implement a loading goods vehicles only 20 minute restriction on the south side of West Street from a point 140 metres east of its junction with Crescent Road to a point 30 metres further east. (ii) Revoke the no stopping 7am – 7pm except buses restriction on the south side of West Street from a point 140 metres east of its junction with Crescent Road to a point 30 metres further east. (iii) Implement no waiting at any time restrictions on Chalford Grange, Furzehall Avenue, Kennedy Avenue, Beaumont Rise, Highlands Rise and Frosthole Crescent, as described below: Road Side Length Chalford Grange North Between a point 150 metres north-east of its junction with Heathfield Avenue and a point 18 metres east of that point. Chalford Grange South Between a point 150m north-east of its junction with Heathfield Avenue and a point 37 metres east of that point. Furzehall Avenue North Between a point 151 metres east of its junction with Cornfield and a point 52 metres east thereof. Furzehall Avenue South Between a point 158 metres east of its junction with Furzehall Avenue and a point 84 metres east thereof. Kennedy Avenue West Between a point 20m north-west of the centreline of its junction with Beaumont Rise and a point 39 metres south-east of that point. Kennedy Avenue South (West side restriction) Between its junction with Highlands Road and a point 21 metres north thereof. Kennedy Avenue South (East side restriction) Between its junction with Highlands Road and a point 21 metres north thereof. Beaumont Rise North Between its junction with Kennedy Avenue and a point 14 metres west thereof. Beaumont Rise South Between its junction with Kennedy Avenue and a point 16 metres west thereof. Highlands Road North Between a point 19 metres west of the centreline of its junction with Kennedy Avenue and a point 42 metres east of that point. Highlands Road South Between the centreline of its junction with Frosthole Crescent and a point 17 metres east of that point. Frosthole Crescent West Between its junction with Highlands Road and a point 18 metres south thereof. Frosthole Crescent East Between its junction with Highlands Road and a point 12 metres south thereof.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 25th June 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

 

General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to:

(i)        Implement a loading goods vehicles only 20 minute restriction on the south side of West Street from a point 140 metres east of its junction with Crescent Road to a point 30 metres further east.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Tuesday 9th July 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 6th August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
