THE HAMPSHIRE (FAREHAM) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023

(VARIATION NO. 3) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 25^th June 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to:

(i)        Implement a loading goods vehicles only 20 minute restriction on the south side of West Street from a point 140 metres east of its junction with Crescent Road to a point 30 metres further east.

(ii)       Revoke the no stopping 7am – 7pm except buses restriction on the south side of West Street from a point 140 metres east of its junction with Crescent Road to a point 30 metres further east.

(iii)      Implement no waiting at any time restrictions on Chalford Grange, Furzehall Avenue, Kennedy Avenue, Beaumont Rise, Highlands Rise and Frosthole Crescent, as described below:

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Tuesday 9^th July 2024.

(ii)       Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices Customer Services, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ (Opening hours: Monday to Friday 08.45 – 17.15)

(iii)      Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 17.15; Fridays 8.30 – 16.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 6^th August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
