Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Hart area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Reading Road South between its junction with Carthona Drive and its junction with Castle Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A323 Aldershot Road, A323 Norris Hill Road, A323 Fleet Road, Aldershot Road, B3013 Reading Road South.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 29th July 2024 for a maximum period of five days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than five days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Hampshire County Council Highways to carry out repairs to the highway following the discovery of a void.
Hampshire County Council Highways will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
