THE HAMPSHIRE (NEW FOREST) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2021 (VARIATION NO. 2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Orders on Tuesday 23rd July 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to vary the existing order “The Hampshire (New Forest) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2021” so as to impose various restrictions as outlined in the attached documentation.

DATE OF OPERATION:    The order will come into force on Monday 5th August 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT:     Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 27th August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
