TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE – MAYS LANE & SPARTAN CLOSE (LINK) FOOTPATH, FAREHAM
The following footpath will be temporarily closed sometime during the next 6 months, with an approximate start date of 14th August 2024.

Highways - Other Temporary Traffic Restrictions from Hampshire County Council in Fareham area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
FOOTPATHS TO BE CLOSED:
- that part of Mays Lane between its junction with Spartan Close (Link) Footpath and a point approx. 30m southwest of that junction.
- that part of Spartan Close (Link) Footpath between its junction with Mays Lane and Spartan Close.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Discovery Close (link) Footpath, Discovery Close, Marks Tey Road, Spartan Close.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 14th August 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day, working between the hours 06:00-18:00).
The footpath closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for SSE to carry out tree cutting works near overhead power lines. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
SSE will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
