Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Upper Street between its junction with Rookery Lane and its junction with The Marsh.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Road From North Street to The Marsh, The Marsh.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 30th July 2024 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 7 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South West Water to carry out repairs to a leaking pipe.
South West Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
