The above-named Order, made on 26 June 2024 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 will extinguish two sections of public footpath in the boroughs of Fareham and Gosport. The first section (Fareham Footpath 73) commences at a junction with a public highway on Rowner Road and proceeds in a north to north-easterly direction, crossing the borough boundary into Gosport (Gosport Footpath 3b), approximately 31 metres in length. The second section of footpath (Gosport Footpath 3a) to be extinguished commences at a point on Staples Reach and proceeds in a generally south-easterly direction to a junction with Gosport Footpath 519, a distance of approximately 315 metres.
