Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Eastleigh area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Lower New Road between its junction with Chapel Road and its junction with B3035 High Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Chapel Road, B3035.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 8th August 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day and in operation between 09:30-23:59).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out urgent overhead cabling works.
Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
