Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in New Forest area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Midgham Road between its junction with North End Lane and a point approx. 180m north from that junction.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3078, Hillbury Road, Harbridge Drove, Lomer Lane.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 12th August 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South West Water to carry out main leak repairs.
South West Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
