Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in East Hampshire area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of High Street between its junction with the public house known as The Five Bells for a distance of approx. 65m southeast from that point.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Greenaway Lane, B2070, B2146, Nurstead Lane, North Lane.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 15th August 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the emergency restriction, whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding the above, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working between the hours 09:00-16:30 and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for South East Water to carry out repairs to leak.
South East Water will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
