Highways – Temporary Speed Restrictions from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
Temporary Speed Restriction – To impose a 30-mph temporary speed restriction on the following road(s):
1. Waltham Road, from its junction with Berrydown Lane to its junction with Burley Lane.
2. Burley Lane, from its junction with Waltham Lane to its junction with Steventon Warren Lane.
3. Steventon Warren Lane, from its junction with Burley Lane to its junction with the A303 Slip-Road by Popham Airfield.
4. White Hill Road, from a point approximately 300m north of its junction with the A303 to the junction with Sapley Lane.
5. B3400 London Road, from a point approximately 900m east of its junction with Two Gate Lane.
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from 12th August 2024 for a maximum period of 21 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the restriction will be required and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Speed Restriction has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate the event Car Fest South 2024.
