GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to vary the existing Principal Order: “The Hampshire (Fareham) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2023.” Which will replace existing maps and impose further prohibitions and restrictions of waiting that coincide with works currently undertaken to improve access and ease congestion.

(VARIATION NO. 1) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 13th August 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 122of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to vary the existing Principal Order: “The Hampshire (Fareham) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2023.” Which will replace existing maps and impose further prohibitions and restrictions of waiting that coincide with works currently undertaken to improve access and ease congestion.
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 24th August 2024.
FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, maps showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and relevant sections of the order to be varied may be viewed at https://www.hants.gov.uk/community/publicnotices/?typeid=5 or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 24th September 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
