HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME RAISED TABLES IN WORTHY ROAD, WINCHESTER

EFFECT OF SCHEME: The provision of two raised tables off Worthy Road in Winchester as follows: (i) Table one will have an overall height of 100mm with slope lengths of 500mm and a gradient of 1:6 on its northern ramp, and lengths of 1,500mm and a gradient of 1:15 on its southern ramp. The table-top length shall be 3,000mm and extend the entire width of the carriageway and shall be located at the junction of Dyson Drive (ii) Table two will have an overall height of 100mm with slope lengths of 4,000mm and a gradient of 1:40 on its northern ramp, and lengths of 2,000mm and a gradient of 1:20 on its southern ramp. The table-top length shall be 5,000mm and extend the entire width of the carriageway and shall be located 13.2m west of Worthy Road’s junction with Stoke Road

TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME

RAISED TABLES IN WORTHY ROAD, WINCHESTER

 

Hampshire County Council proposes implementing a traffic calming scheme as follows:

 

EFFECT OF SCHEME: The provision of two raised tables off Worthy Road in Winchester as follows:

 

(i)        Table one will have an overall height of 100mm with slope lengths of 500mm and a gradient of 1:6 on its northern ramp, and lengths of 1,500mm and a gradient of 1:15 on its southern ramp. The table-top length shall be 3,000mm and extend the entire width of the carriageway and shall be located at the junction of Dyson Drive

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned, quoting reference A2029/KK by Friday 13th September 2024.  All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the traffic calming implementation process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.
