The following roads will be temporarily restricted sometime during the next month. Expected start date 08/09/2024.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Basingstoke and Deane area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow the Overton 5 Mile Road Race to take place on the Sunday 8th September 2024.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads:
1) Straight Lane between its junction with B3400 and its junction with Polhampton Farm Lane.
2) Polhampton Farm Lane between its junction with Straight Lane and its junction with Station Road.
3) Station Road between its junction with Flashetts Footpath and its junction with Station Approach Road.
4) Kingsdown Lane between its junction with Nutley Bottom Lane and its junction with Station Approach Road.
5) Nutley Bottom Lane between its junction with Kingsdown Lane and its junction with Ashe Lane.
6) Ashe Lane between its junction with Nutley Bottom Lane and its junction with White Lane.
7) White Lane between its junction with Ashe Lane and its junction with Kingsdown Lane & Nutley Bottom Lane.
8) Church Road between its junction with Kingsclere Road and its junction with Bridge Street.

Each road will be closed for no longer than 1 hour and 20 minutes. Race marshals and traffic management will be present to direct any vehicles.
DURATION OF ORDER: on Sunday 8th September 2024 between the hours 13:30 – 16:30 for 1 day or until the event has ended, whichever is sooner. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
These road closures have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Overton Harriers Athletic Club to carry out the Overton 5 Mile Road Race.
