NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 to allow the New Forest Marathon to take place on the Sunday 8^th September 2024.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED: those parts of the following roads:

1)      Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, New Forest between its junction with A35 Bournemouth Road and its junction with North Weirs between the hours 09:00-13:00.

TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – To impose a 30-mph temporary speed restriction on the following road:

1)    Lyndhurst Road (A337), New Forest between its junction with Clay Hill and its junction with Lawner Road between the hours 06:30-16:00.

ONE-WAY SUSPENSION – To impose a one-way road on the following road:

1)    Burley Road, New Forest the one-way restriction between Wilverly Road and North Weirs will be suspended between the hours 11:00-13:30. (Northbound Only)

2)    Burley Road, New Forest the one-way restriction between Longslade and North Weirs will be suspended between the hours 10:30-14:45. (Northbound Only)

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

1)      Burley Road, New Forest: Wilverley Road, Marlpit Oak Road, Sway Road, The Rise.

2)      Rhinefield Ornamental Drive, New Forest: A35 Bournemouth Road, Station Road, Wilverley Road, Burley Road, Rhinefield Road.

Duration of the order: on Sunday 8^th September 2024 between the hours 06:30-16:00 for 1 day or until the event has ended, whichever is sooner. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
