The following road will be temporarily closed sometime during the next 6 months, with an approximate start date of 16th September 2024.

Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROADS TO BE CLOSED:
- that part of B3046 Kilmeston Road between its junction with Greys Farm Close and its junction with A272 Petersfield Road.
- that part of B3046 Cheriton Road between its junction with A272 Petersfield Road and its junction with B3046 Alresford Road.
- that part of B3046 Alresford Road between its junction with B3046 Cheriton Road and its junction with Markall Close.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
Kilmeston Road closure – Kilmeston Down Lane, Kilmeston Down, Millbarrows, Beauworth Road, A272.
Cheriton Road/Alresford Road – B3046, B3047, A31, A272.
DURATION OF ORDER: from 16th September 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 5 days, working between the hours 09:30-15:30).
The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Openreach to carry out underground cabling works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: [email protected]
Openreach will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
