Highways – Temporary Road Closure from Hampshire County Council in Winchester area
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Hampshire County Council, because of an urgent incident on or near the road, considers that the closure to the road mentioned below should come into force without delay.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Kingsgate Street starting 50 metres Southwards along Kingsgate Street from the junction with Romans Road and continuing for 45 metres.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Romans Road, St Cross Road, Norman Road
DURATION OF THIS NOTICE: from Friday 13th September 2024 for a maximum period of 5 days or until completion of the Emergency Restriction whichever is sooner (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day and in operation for 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for GM Networks to carry out replacement of defective telegraph pole safely.
