TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION ON A325 FARNBOROUGH ROAD

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to extend the 40 miles per hour speed limit on A325 Farnborough Road between a point 85 metres north-east of its junction with Cranmore Lane and a point 92 metres south-west of its junction with A323 Fleet Road, an approximate distance of 1,970 metres. The 40 miles per hour speed limit extension will remove a stretch of 50 miles per hour speed limit on A325 Farnborough Road between a point 60 metres north-east of its junction with Claycart Road and a point 160 metres south-west of its junction with A323 Fleet Road, an approximate distance of 700 metres. The 60 miles per hour speed limit on A325 Farnborough Road will be partly reduced to 40 miles per hour between a point 160 metres south-west of its junction with A323 Fleet Road to a point approximately 68 metres further south-west. This order will revoke and reinstate The Hampshire (Various Roads Farnborough and Aldershot) (20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2024 with no change of substance save for the changes above.

TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION ON A325 FARNBOROUGH ROAD

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 84 and 122(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email [email protected] quoting reference: - C867/KK, by Friday 11th October 2024. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

 

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as “The Hampshire (Various Roads, Farnborough and Aldershot) (20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 Miles Per Hour) (No. 2) Order 2024.”
