THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, EAST HAMPSHIRE) (PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING / UNLOADING AND CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012) (VARIATION NO. 24) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) has made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 10th September 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to reduce parking congestion and to improve safety by implementing parking and waiting restrictions on various roads at Rowlands Castle as specified below:
No Waiting at Any Time
1. Woodberry Lane (right fork) – West Side:
Between its junction with Finchdean Road and a point 9.7 metres south thereof
2. Woodberry Lane (east fork) – East Side:
Between its junction with Finchdean Road and a point 21 metres south thereof
3. Woodberry Lane (west fork) – Southwest Side
Between the junction of The Green and a point 110 metres southeast thereof
4. Woodberry Lane (east fork) – Northeast Side
Between its junction with Finchdean Road and a point 97 metres south thereof
5. Bowes Hill – West Side
Between its junction with The Green and a point 97 metres north thereof
6. Bowes Hill – East Side
Between a point 7 metres north of its junction with the entrance to the railway car park and a point 26 metres south thereof
7. The Green South Side
(i) between a point at the centreline of Deerleap Lane and a point 49 metres northeast of that point
(ii) between a point 78 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 19 metres northeast of that point
(iii) between a point 123 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 21 metres northeast of that point
(iv) between a point 150 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Deerleap Lane and a point 17 metres northeast of that point
This order will part revoke The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading / Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012 insofar as it relates to Schedule 2: No waiting at any time, Bowes Hill / Woodberry Lane.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 22nd October 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
