THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, EAST HAMPSHIRE) (PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION OF STOPPING, WAITING, LOADING / UNLOADING AND CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2012 (VARIATION NO. 23) ORDER 2024
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to change existing limited waiting restrictions 1 hour, no return within 1 hour to be daytime only, Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm by making the following amendments: (i) the items specified in Schedule I to this order were deleted from Schedule 1 Part 9 of the Principal Order. This will revoke Part 9 of the Principal Order in its entirety; and (ii) the items specified in Schedule II to this order were inserted into Schedule 1 Part 11 of the Principal Order. In this Order, the Principal Order means The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire) (Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012

(VARIATION NO. 23) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 8th October 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 39, 53, 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to change existing limited waiting restrictions 1 hour, no return within 1 hour to be daytime only, Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm by making the following amendments:
(i) the items specified in Schedule I to this order were deleted from Schedule 1 Part 9 of the Principal Order. This will revoke Part 9 of the Principal Order in its entirety; and
(ii) the items specified in Schedule II to this order were inserted into Schedule 1 Part 11 of the Principal Order.
In this Order, the Principal Order means The Hampshire (Various Roads, East Hampshire)
(Parking Places and Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading Unloading and Clearway) Consolidation Order 2012
SCHEDULE I
Items to be deleted from Schedule I Part 9 of the Principal Order – Limited waiting 1 hour return prohibited within 1 hour
Station Road, Liphook
(i) south side the whole of the lay-by by the shopping precinct
(ii) north side between a point 36 metres west of its junction with Newtown Road and a point 43 metres west of that point
SCHEDULE II
Items to be inserted into Schedule I Part 11 of the Principal Order – Limited waiting 1 hour return prohibited within 1 hour Mon-Sat 8am-6pm
Station Road, Liphook
(i) south side the whole of the lay-by by the shopping precinct
(ii) north side between a point 38 metres west of its junction with Newtown Road and a point 20 metres west of that point
(iii) north side between a point 63 metres west of its junction with Newtown Road and a point 8 metres west of that point
(iv) north side between a point 76 metres west of its junction with Newtown Road and a point 8 metres west of that point
DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Monday 21st October 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 19th November 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
