THE HAMPSHIRE (VARIOUS BRIDGES)

(WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 15^th October 2024, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

General nature and effectS of the Order: Will be to impose a 3t weight restriction on that length of Longstock Bridge No. B202 on Bunny Lane between a point 216 metres west of its junction with A343 Leckford Lane and a point 10 metres west of that point.

This order will revoke and reinstate the provisions contained in an existing order with no change of substance save for the addition described in the above paragraph.

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Tuesday 29^th October 2024.

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 26^th November 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
