Highways – Permanent Traffic Order Notices from Hampshire County Council in Havant area

THE HAMPSHIRE (DARNEL ROAD, WATERLOOVILLE) (PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 22nd October, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

General nature and effects of the Order: Will be to implement parking and waiting restrictions on Darnel Road as specified below:

Parking Places – MONDAY TO FRIDAY 09:00 – 18:00 4 Hours, No Return Within 4 Hours

1.         Darnel Road – East Side:

(i)        between a point17 metres north of its junction with Foxtail Road and a point 22 metres north of that point

(ii)       between a point 11 metres south of its junction with Foxtail Road and a point 28 metres south of that point

(iii)      between a point 135 metres south of its junction of Foxtail Road and a point 10 metres south of that point

(iv)      between a point 18 metres north of its junction with Harrow Way and a point 20 metres north of that point

(v)       between a point 18 metres north of its junction with Harrow Way and a point 20 metres north of that point

(vi)      between a point 48 metres south of its junction with Harrow Way and a point 15 metres south of that point

2.         Darnel Road – West Side:

(i)        between a point 20 metres south of its junction with Foxtail Road and a point 23 metres south of that point

(ii)       between a point 18 metres south of its junction with Harrow Way and a point 20 metres south of that point

No Waiting at Any Time

1.         Darnel Road – East Side:

Between a point 68 metres south of its junction with Foxtail Road and a point 62 metres south of that point.

2.         Darnel Road – West Side:

Between a point 68 metres south of its junction with Foxtail Road and a point 56 metres south of that point

DATE OF OPERATION: The order will come into force on Saturday 2nd November 2024.

(iii)      Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT:  Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Tuesday 3rd December 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
